Valuable helps discover the value of unique items and provides interesting insights about them. Just take a picture of an item with your smartphone—no complicated steps or technical know-how required—to inventory, research, price, market, and prepare reports of physical assets.
Valuable’s technology was developed for individual collectors and teams of professionals.
Individual collectors may catalogue their collection with Valuable and use it for purchases at estate sales, auctions, antique stores, and vintage markets. Also, it’s helpful for families negotiating inherited heirlooms.
Teams of professionals in the estate sale, senior moving, appraisal, dealer, and interior design industries benefit by working together within a single, secure space based on permissioned access.
Valuable’s AI sources data everywhere from online marketplaces like Etsy and eBay to auction houses and estate sales. Additionally, we have a proprietary AI curation system. Valuable searches also include results from Google, Bing, and other public sources.
We are starting work with sources of vast amounts of private sales and inventory data. Stay tuned.
Once you’re logged in, go to the Account screen. In the Profile tab, go to Edit Profile and Personal AI Instructions. You may edit your profile name and add a photo here. You may add a Merchant ID, which prints on sales tags.
You may add Special Instructions for AI. The AI uses these instructions to make recommendations according to your perspective. For example, you could type, “I have an estate sale business in the Chicago metropolitan area. We price items 20% lower than eBay and 50% lower than Chairish.”
Subscription tab is where you manage your subscription. You may see how many assets you have before needing to upgrade.
On the Home screen (Show All pin), you’ll find your community and your assets. Valuable organizes teams of people and assets in groups. Think of groups as folders. Each folder can have folders within it, giving different access to different people.
To add a subgroup, for example, you may add a group titled “Our Home”. In this case, you would invite your partner by tapping Our Home, then the People tab. Choose Invite Members. You will enter an email address. Then, Assign Role and Send Invite.
Another example is “My Business”. For My Business, you’d add a group for each estate sale, move, client, collection, or store.
One of the most important features in Valuable is adding your Special Instructions for AI. This is where you can train your AI. Details is where you can edit AI Instructions for a specific group and edit your instructions in general. You may edit the group name here too.
An asset is an item for which you want to learn more. Simply take up to 6 photos of the asset to get insights and an estimated value range. The number of assets in your Valuable account determines the price of your subscription.
Choose the group where you’d like to start adding inventory. For example, “My Booth”. Once in your group, tap Add Asset button. Add up to 6 photos with identifying information for each item to get insights and an estimated value range. Keep adding assets until you are ready to review them.
Each new item appears in the group with a green New Asset banner until reviewed. Tap the asset to review it. You will see your photos, followed by asset name, and three vertical tabs:
In the Asset Details tab, you may edit the asset name, description, and historical detail. (Tap Edit at the bottom of the screen to edit.) Quantity may be recorded here. Notes you dictated or typed are located here too.
In the Pricing Research tab, the AI searches for comparable sales from several sources. It organizes those results into groups, so you may spot the best set of comparisons for your item and sales context. (If you wish, you may delete individual items or whole groups to refine the list.)
Below the groups, Market Insights gives you an overview with low, medium, and high price ranges. Additionally, it offers a review of factors to consider in pricing.
If you’d like to generate a suggested price based on all of the collected information, tap Suggest Price, and you’ll see a button with a price at the bottom of the screen. If you’d like to accept the price, tap the amount (highlighted in gold). Then, Save at the bottom of screen.
If you’ve determined the sales price without the AI’s suggestion, go to the Sales Tools tab, Edit, then add the price in the box, the keyboard icon next to it, then Save.
Open the asset and go to the Sales Tools tab. You may record Acquisition Price, Date Acquired, Acquired From, and more. In the Asset Details tab, you may add Notes and Record a Personal Video.
You may take up to 6 photos of an asset. In the camera screen, you may dictate a note by tapping the microphone icon. Once you’ve finished dictation, tap the microphone icon again. Instead of dictation, you may also type your note. Once your photos and notes are finished, tap the green check mark.
If you don’t want photos to be saved to your phone’s gallery, go to the Account screen. In the Profile tab, you’ll see an off and on toggle for Save Captured Photos to Local Gallery. Choose off.
On any Group page, tap “People” and then tap Invite Members. You can also use this screen to view pending invitations, cancel invitations, remover members and change their roles / permissions.
When inviting a new member, enter their email address and select their role (Group Admin, Member, Guest). They will receive an invitation email and a notification in the app if they already have an account.
Group Admin: Has all the permissions of a Member, plus the ability to add and edit members and roles.
Members: Has all the permissions of Guests, plus the ability to add, modify and delete Assets.
Guests: Can only view Assets and participate in Chat. Guests can’t add new assets to the Group.
To share an asset to social media, open the asset and tap the share button at the bottom. The AI will auto-generate the caption, which you can edit. Choose the size and social network destination with the drop down menu at the top.
To delete an asset, you will open the asset and see a delete button at the bottom. In general, we recommend keeping your assets for data analysis. However, maybe your estate sale client decided not to sell an item.
